Lizzie returns again
19 August 2016 On 17th August following repairs, 6201 Princess Elizabeth set off from the West Shed at the Midland Railway Centre on a second test run to ensure the locomotive is ready for the forthcoming mainline charter tours starting next week. We’re very pleased to announce that the test run was a success, and Lizzie will depart for Southall on Monday 22nd August ready to take the Steam Dreams charter tour on Tuesday from London to the West Somerset Railway. A huge thank you to everyone concerned in carrying out the repairs and sending her back out in such superb condition! See our updated Tours page for more details

Status Report
22 June 2016 The issue reported late on the evening of Friday 17th June was a bearing on the front bogie running hot, and was the reason that, sadly, 6201 couldn’t take the PMR Tours charter to York and Scarborough as planned. The bearing problem is now being dealt with by the engineering team, and we hope to have some positive news again shortly following repair. Contributions towards the expected cost of repairs are always very welcome.
